Accessed by 4wd, 110km north of Mount Isa is the stunning Lake Julius and the Lake Julius Recreation Centre is the perfect retreat for a bit of peace and quiet.

Bushwalk along the river surrounding area a great way to see old gold mines or some geological formations 400 million years old.
